Most of what we trust runs on “see it to believe it.” Self-belief runs the other way: you believe first, and the results come afterwards. A dream chased without enough faith in your own abilities begins with slim odds, so belief has to come before the step, not after it.

The same order holds for everyone else. Their confidence in you isn’t the permission slip; you back yourself, you move, “and then everyone else may follow suit.”

So there’s nothing to wait for. It is an uncomfortable order, because you commit before you have any evidence. Believe, take the step, and let the proof — yours and theirs — catch up.
